Welcome to Weavers Way! Weavers Way is a not-for-profit organization that's doing things differently to support our local community. As a member-owned co-op, we don't exist just to make money. Weavers Way operates on a triple bottom line philosophy known as People-Planet-Profit - which means every action we take, we strive to benefit people (our community, employees, and local vendors), planet (we strive to be one of the most sustainable places around!), and profit (so we can support our team members and operate as a business). By joining us, you're helping us fulfill our mission of keeping dollars in our local community, supporting over 300 local food vendors, and being a part of strengthening and enriching the people and planet around us. Join Weavers Way as a Dishwash We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Dishwasher in our Germantown location. This position is Part-Time with an anticipated 20-29 hours per week. Open availability is required. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great customer service, then we want to hear from you!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for kitchen sanitation and clean up Weekend work requirements as determined by manager Assist with quarterly inventories Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to Department of Health standards Sort and replenish clean dishes in their designated areas Dispose of trash in designated containers Light maintenance of kitchen and dish equipment while reporting any malfunctions to management Perform other duties as assigned by the Fresh Foods Manager or Manager on Duty This position involves direct handling of common allergens, including dairy, wheat, tree nuts, seafood, fish, and sesame.
Requirements:
Commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op. Proficient knife skills Some retail, restaurant experience preferred Direct customer service experience Knowledge of safe food handling Exhibited ability to work well in a team setting Proven ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment when necessary Knowledge of prepared foods and an exhibited enthusiasm for food Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
