Hours are weekdays 1:00-5:00pm. The Dishwasher/Food Prep is an essential member of the Helping Harvest Community Kitchen team, helping turn fresh ingredients into meals that make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. Each day, our team works together to prepare, package, and distribute high-quality meals to community members facing food insecurity. This role supports all aspects of kitchen operations including cleaning and sanitation, loading product, food preparation assistance and maintaining an organized workspace. About us:

The Helping Harvest Community Kitchen (HHCK) is furthering the mission of Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank by creating approximately 5,000 nutritious ready-to-eat meals weekly for distribution to food-insecure neighbors in Berks and Schuylkill counties.

Key Responsibilities:

Dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment in accordance with food safety standards. Loading product, unloading product. Stocking product. Food preparation assistance, as needed. Trash removal and equipment cleaning. Assist chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
