Responsibilities Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment thoroughly to maintain cleanliness standards. Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe guidelines. Support meal assembly and presentation by preparing salads, garnishes, or side dishes as directed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and ovens. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment by sanitizing work surfaces, floors, and storage areas regularly. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely meal service. Skills Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and operating various kitchen equipment. Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling practices. Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques. Excellent knife skills with slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous restaurant or catering experience is a plus for understanding fast-paced food service environments. $10.00 - $17.00 per hour
