Job Description:
Dishwasher/Utility Position is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, dishes, floors, and utensils. Objectives Interacts professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers. Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Works effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Cleaning Services Collects sorts and washes dishes. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans. Sweeps and mops floors. Compliance Complies with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements. Sanitation Assists in back dock organization and proper trash & waste receptacle treatment. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Set up and Preparation Assists with the set up of special events or additional kitchen spaces. Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment. Additional Functions This position does not directly supervise anyone but is responsible for working in a team and completing task in a group setting. PT Dining $250 signing bonus after a 4-month satisfactory probationary period is completed •Generous paid holidays, vacation, and sick time, free gym membership, free meals during working hours, free uniforms, free parking, paid employee referral program and 403(b) •
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Ability to use time keeping system to properly record time worked for payroll processing. Ability to follow instructions from multiple managers, chefs, and supervisors. Ability to work in a group/team and function efficiently. Possess the ability to meet Dining's specific uniform standards for this position. Utilize all Personal Protective Equipment's per Dining guidelines including wearing a cut resistant glove whenever using a sharp or potentially sharp tool or instrument. Ability to follow all Dining health and safety standards and requirements. At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
