Sawyer's is a natural wine bar & cafe looking for a dishwasher/porter to join our team. The right person is provides support to all parts our operation and ensures that both the kitchen and bar run smoothly.

Duties include:

Provides front-of-house support throughout service by wiping down and sanitizing tables, chairs, railings, and other high-touch surfaces. Clears and buses used glassware, plates, utensils, and other items from customer tables throughout service. Monitors trash receptacles and bus bins throughout the shift, removing full trash bags and ensuring bus bins are cleared promptly. Sweeps and mops floors throughout the restaurant, including corridors between the dishroom, kitchen, bathroom, and bar entrance, and maintains clean, dry floors throughout the shift. Runs food to tables as needed during busy periods. Prepares fruit garnishes, including cutting limes, lemons, and oranges. Washes, dries, sorts, stacks, and properly stores dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware. Sets up and maintains the dish station, including the dishwasher and sinks, ensuring all equipment is clean and in working order. Maintains a clean, organized, and clutter-free dish area and kitchen throughout the shift. Cleans and sanitizes storage areas, including refrigerators and dry storage spaces, and maintains organized storage shelves. Assists with receiving and properly storing food deliveries. Follows all required sanitation, cleaning, and food-safety procedures. Monitors the condition of the dishwasher and mop station and promptly reports any equipment or maintenance issues to management. Assists with food preparation and other tasks as directed by management. Assists with restaurant closing duties and ensures assigned areas are clean, organized, and ready for the next service

Pay:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
