Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential in supporting our food service operations and contributes to a smooth workflow in the kitchen environment. Duties Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff to support meal service. Properly store clean dishes and equipment in designated areas to ensure easy access for kitchen staff. Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during service periods. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Willingness to help with various tasks beyond dishwashing, including food preparation and catering support as needed. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
