Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment. Your energetic approach will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, supporting food preparation, service, and overall restaurant operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while contributing to a vibrant hospitality setting. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards. Follow strict sanitation procedures to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and waste disposal. Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support the kitchen team in bussing tables and clearing dishes during service hours. Ensure all items are stored correctly after cleaning to prevent cross-contamination and maintain organization within the kitchen. Support manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies while adhering to proper lifting techniques for safety. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all equipment is functioning properly through routine checks and reporting any malfunctions. Follow all health and safety regulations related to kitchen operations, including food safety management practices and sanitation standards. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and basic kitchen equipment operation is advantageous. Experience with banquet or catering settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, heavy lifting, and manual handling with energy and efficiency. Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including food safety protocols and sanitation procedures. Pay:
