Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing machines to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Manually wash items that cannot be processed through machines, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitation. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup for cooking stations. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishes to the kitchen for cleaning. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation standards. Follow all food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle heavy lifting safely when moving large quantities of dishes or supplies, utilizing proper manual handling techniques. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools efficiently while observing kitchen health and safety standards. Assist in maintaining overall sanitation of the kitchen environment to support food safety and hygiene practices. Experience Previous food service experience is preferred, especially within restaurant or catering environments. Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices is highly desirable. Experience working in banquet or catering settings is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in diverse hospitality scenarios. Knowledge of kitchen safety standards and proper manual handling techniques is beneficial. Prior experience operating commercial dishwashing equipment or similar kitchen machinery is advantageous.
