In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and cooking equipment to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils according to food safety sanitizing procedures. Ensure all kitchenware and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly. Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the culinary team in maintaining smooth kitchen operations. Follow strict food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle heavy lifting of large pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely using proper manual handling techniques. Maintain a clean and organized work environment through regular cleaning routines and sanitation procedures. Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly preferred, especially in food service or catering environments. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing techniques. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools. Experience with food safety management systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
