Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food prep tools safely and efficiently. Assist with meal preparation for high-volume production, supporting catering events or large orders as needed. Handle dishwashing duties thoroughly to ensure all cookware, utensils, and dishes are sanitized according to food safety guidelines. Support the dietary department by understanding dietary restrictions and assisting in meal assembly when required. Contribute to menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes or ingredient availability based on culinary experience. Maintain organization of station areas, stock supplies, and assist with inventory management. Skills Proven experience in food handling, food safety management, and sanitizing procedures within a restaurant or food industry setting. Strong culinary skills including knife skills, food preparation techniques like poaching, braising, grilling, and general cooking expertise. Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with high-volume production environments and catering operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of dietary aide practices and menu planning to accommodate special dietary needs. Excellent attention to detail in recipe adherence and meal presentation standards.
