In this role, you'll be a key player in keeping our kitchen running smoothly by handling dishwashing duties, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper sanitation procedures to ensure cleanliness and safety. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and cooks. Help with bussing tables and clearing plates to maintain a clean dining area and support overall restaurant flow. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to prevent contamination and uphold health standards. Handle manual tasks including lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques. Operate kitchen equipment like dishwashers, sinks, and prep tools safely and correctly. Support the team during busy service times by staying organized, responsive, and ready to assist wherever needed. Requirements Previous experience in food handling, dishwashing, or restaurant environments is a plus but not mandatory—training will be provided! Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety management practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Basic knife skills or familiarity with food prep techniques is advantageous. Strong attention to detail when cleaning, organizing, and following health regulations. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude. A team-oriented approach with good communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
