Lewisville, TX Job Details $12 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Kitchen health and safety standards Food service health code compliance Stock rotation management Food running Food portioning Food order assembly Simple food item preparation Room service tray management High school diploma or GED Food safety sanitizing procedures Proper waste disposal Hospitality industry experience Food delivery Operating kitchen equipment Cleaning messes in dining areas Healthcare infection prevention and control compliance expertise Entry level Meal assistance Kitchen organization Full Job Description Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and food portioning as directed Deliver and collect meal trays in a timely and courteous manner Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using proper sanitation procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish room, and dining areas Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines Properly store food and supplies according to facility policies Dispose of trash and maintain waste areas in a sanitary condition Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating food and supplies Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors Report any concerns regarding food quality, safety, or resident needs to supervisor Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Supervisor High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality preferred but not required Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed Ability to work in hot, wet, and humid environments Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment and dishwashing machinery
Work Environment:
Skilled nursing facility kitchen and dining areas Exposure to heat, steam, cleaning chemicals, and food odors May require working weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
