Duties Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support culinary staff. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning routines. Support catering and banquet events by preparing ingredients and ensuring all serving ware is ready for service. Bypass cross-contamination by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to safety guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes and organized workspaces. Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment for everyone. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Familiarity with basic food handling, cleaning protocols, and kitchen safety standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency. Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing kitchen areas. Experience with bussing tables or supporting catering events is a plus but not mandatory.
