Job Overview favorite neighbor is seeking daytime and nighttime dishwashers to join our fun and welcoming crew. Pay is based on experience and we are willing to train. this is a great first job for someone new to the restaurant industry. This is also a great growth position for anyone looking to get into the kitchen as we promote from within often. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools. Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations. Handle manual tasks such as loading and unloading dishes, stacking clean items, and organizing kitchenware. Support food preparation activities by maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas and assisting with basic food handling tasks when needed. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station and surrounding kitchen areas through regular cleaning routines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service, including during catering or banquet events. Skills . Some Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards Is helpful. Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy pots, pans, and dish racks safely. Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling practices are a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout shifts comfortably. Experience with dishwashing equipment and general kitchen cleaning protocols a plus. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude; ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
