Duties Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the kitchen for cleaning. Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and health regulations. Follow food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper food handling practices. Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or large containers of dishware while adhering to manual handling safety standards. Experience Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and kitchen health standards is advantageous. Basic knife skills or culinary experience can be beneficial for supporting food prep tasks. Experience operating commercial dishwashers or kitchen equipment is a plus. Knowledge of sanitation practices related to restaurant or catering settings enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Previous banquet, catering, hotel, or hospitality experience can provide a strong foundation for understanding fast-paced food service environments.
