Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and organization in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients to support kitchen operations Bypass dirty dishes from the dining area by bussing tables efficiently and maintaining a clean service environment Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and food prep tools Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots, boxes of supplies, and cleaning supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations Support the kitchen team during busy service times by providing timely assistance with food handling and prep tasks Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key! Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards within a commercial kitchen setting Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and food prep tools Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a fast-paced environment Prior banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required; willingness to adapt to various hospitality settings Embark on your culinary journey with us!
