Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Wednesday night meal dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards. This energetic position supports the overall flow of the kitchen, enabling chefs and food service staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your dedication helps uphold our commitment to cleanliness, safety, and hospitality excellence. Hours will vary but we are hiring specifically for an average of 5 hours on Wednesday night (4-8 pm) and for other big events or other catering gigs as needed. We will feed you too! Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently. Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and inviting. Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and storage areas. Assist with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens or food prep stations as directed by supervisors. Qualifications Previous food service experience or familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments is preferred. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen health and safety standards are advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene compliance. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and hospitality operations. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
