Job Description

Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way. This position exists to provide clean and sanitized dishes and cookware for the cafeteria and/or assist with other routine tasks. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to understand and follow directions in English. Able to work well with other team members. Able to lift/move objects up to 40lbs. Able to do fast, repetitive motions, and stand for long periods of time. Able to work in wet conditions and in varied temperatures. Courtesy when dealing with others. Ability to obtain food handler's permit. Cleans and sanitizes dishes, cookware, or other kitchen supplies or facilities. Operates dishwasher or hand washes to clean dishes, silverware, glassware, and pots and pans. May organize and distribute cleaned and dried items. May clean other areas in the cafeteria. May be assigned to another routine task. Appropriately disposes of trash, including cooked or raw food items. Refers complex issues to higher-level staff.
