We are seeking a hard working and reliable individual with kitchen service or dishwashing experience to add to our busy coffee house! Our dishes are not hard to wash as they are not as dirty as full service restaurants, just pastry and coffee dishes but we do need them washed fast and our space is small and has to be kept very organized to function. Desired schedule will give Saturdays off:

Monday:

9:30-3:30

Tuesday:

9:30-3:30

Wednesday:

9:30-3:30

Thursdays:

9:30-3:30

Fridays:

9:30-3:30

Sundays:

9:30-3:30 (Must be able to work Sundays regularly!

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators and pastries in pastry case.
• Keep all sinks clear of dishes and follow dishwashing procedure.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
• Prepare prepped food for front of house such as smashed avocado for our avocado toast, slice house made bread and produce, make tea concentrates and store in designated areas.

Skills:

• Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
• Ability to support a team and take direction from supervisor + be a self stater and work efficiently independently without constant direction
• Willingness to assist with other kitchen duties as needed
