Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards, preparing ingredients, and supporting the culinary staff to deliver exceptional meals. Duties Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure a clean and organized workspace Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe guidelines Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all areas of the kitchen by adhering to safety standards in production and food handling procedures Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools Support meal preparation activities by assisting with ingredient prep and plating under the supervision of culinary staff Ensure all food items are stored properly according to safety standards and inventory protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff through clear communication to facilitate smooth service flow during busy periods Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating knowledge of food industry practices and safety standards Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering processes is a plus Strong knife skills with proper slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep Knowledge of food safety management principles including proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow detailed instructions accurately Excellent communication skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and support team members A proactive attitude towards cleaning duties and maintaining a hygienic workspace This role is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts who thrive in fast-paced environments.
