Responsibilities Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean all cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks such as ingredient handling and basic assembly to support kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning routines aligned with sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming for guests. Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to proper lifting techniques to ensure safety. Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and promote a hygienic kitchen environment. Assist in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances as needed. Experience Prior food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices is advantageous. Experience with kitchen equipment operation or catering environments will be considered a plus. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards to ensure compliance at all times.
