Job Summary Cactus Jack's Southwest Grill is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher to support daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will maintain clean and sanitized dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment while helping keep the kitchen organized, safe, and efficient during busy service periods. Key Responsibilities Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and according to restaurant procedures. Maintain clean and organized dishwashing and kitchen areas. Sort and organize clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware. Assist kitchen staff with keeping necessary equipment and supplies available during service. Remove food waste and dispose of trash according to restaurant procedures. Clean and sanitize sinks, dishwashing stations, floors, counters, and other assigned areas. Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies as needed. Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and food-preparation support when required. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment properly and safely. Report damaged equipment, broken dishes, or supply shortages to management. Support cooks and other kitchen team members during busy service periods. Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-shift cleaning duties. Perform additional kitchen and cleaning duties assigned by management. Requirements Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience is preferred but not required. Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads when required. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills Previous commercial kitchen or restaurant experience. Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment. Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to work quickly while maintaining cleanliness standards. Strong organization and time-management skills.
