Job Description
Overview This is a three day per week position. Wednesday through Friday from 7am-1pm or 4pm. No weekends! Join our dynamic team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation to ensure smooth service operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and support the culinary team in delivering top-quality meals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, cleaning, and basic food prep within a vibrant hospitality setting. Duties Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs during service Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen surfaces through regular cleaning routines Support catering and banquet events by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely setup and cleanup Buss tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables swiftly, and ensuring a clean dining environment for guests Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques such as chopping, assembling, or portioning ingredients Experience with bussing tables or supporting catering events is a plus Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and bending comfortably Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to support others in the kitchen or dining areas Knowledge of food handling regulations and sanitation standards is advantageous Embark on a rewarding journey in the hospitality industry where your energy fuels memorable guest experiences!
