Your energetic approach will ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use, supporting our chefs and food service staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while contributing to a vibrant hospitality setting.
Position:
Closing dishwasher position for Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights. Starting at 5pm until all dishes and the dish room have been cleaned. The kitchen closes at 9pm on Thursdays and 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The position will start on Thursday October 15th. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Follow proper manual handling techniques to lift heavy loads of dishes and supplies without risk of injury. Maintain cleanliness standards by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, sinks, and storage areas in accordance with sanitation protocols. Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Experience Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous. Experience with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or industrial cleaning machines is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods. Knowledge of food safety management principles helps ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong teamwork skills gained through hospitality or catering experience contribute to a positive work environment. A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards aligns with our commitment to kitchen sanitation excellence.
