Job Description
Southern Jamm Security is hiring Event Ticket Takers / Ushers to join our growing event staff team. This is a flexible, part-time position working exciting live sporting events, concerts, festivals, and other special events throughout the area. If you enjoy working with people, providing great customer service, and being part of live events, we'd love to have you on our team. No previous experience is required—we provide all necessary training. Position Summary As an Event Ticket Taker / Usher, you will help provide guests with a safe, organized, and enjoyable event experience. Responsibilities include scanning or verifying tickets, welcoming guests, assisting with seating and directions, monitoring assigned areas, and providing excellent customer service throughout each event. Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner Scan and verify event tickets Assist guests with finding their seats or event locations Monitor entrances, seating sections, and assigned areas Help maintain orderly lines and crowd flow Answer guest questions and provide directions Report safety concerns or suspicious activity to supervisors Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the event Qualifications No experience required—paid training provided Strong customer service and communication skills Friendly, dependable, and professional attitude Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Reliable transportation Active cell phone Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require Ability to pass a background check What We Offer Flexible event-based scheduling Competitive hourly pay Paid training Opportunities to work college athletics, concerts, festivals, and other major events Advancement opportunities into Event Staff Leadership and Security Officer positions Become part of the Southern Jamm Security team and help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for every guest.
