Job Description
Hot Air Balloon Chase Crew Hot Air Expeditions - 3.7 Phoenix, AZ Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $21 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Paid training Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Heavy lifting Customer service High school diploma or GED Driver's License Passenger safety Full Job Description Get paid to chase hot air balloons! We are currently seeking friendly customer service oriented personnel to add to our Hot Air Balloon Chase Crew Team. Not only is this a fun job, it has great perks including a flexible part-time schedule, great tips + free balloon rides. Being a part of our Hot Air Balloon Chase Crew Team is an incredible experience that will put you in the center of the ballooning action. Your day starts between 3:30am-5:15am for the morning flight and/or 2:15pm-3:15pm for seasonal afternoon flights, and the entire experience lasts about 4 hours. Our start time fluctuates with the everchanging time of sunrise and sunset. Morning flights are available daily, year-round and afternoon flights are available seasonally, November 1 - March 15. Weekend (Saturday + Sunday) availability, and early morning availability are strongly preferred, as these are our busiest days/times of the week. Losing something as large and colorful as a hot air balloon sounds impossible, but it can happen. For this reason, the Chase Crew has a very important job that consists of navigating the roads while using radios to communicate with the pilot and keep the balloon in sight. The Chase Crew is also responsible for shuttling customers to/from our desert launching/landing sites, assisting with setting up and preparing the balloon for flight, and often helps identify potential landing spots for the pilot. Once the balloon lands, the Chase Crew has several duties including aiding the balloon in landing safely, helping to deflate and pack up the balloon, and setting up the post-flight meal for customers. When a pilot was asked about the chase crew experience he said, "The thrill of the chase can be more fun than flying. It is amazing to see the fabric come out of the bag, inflate into a huge balloon and take off into flight. Being part of the entire experience from start to finish is a great feeling." When the balloon has landed and everything is packed away, you will have had a new adventure. If this sounds like the perfect part-time job for you, keep reading for information and requirements. Hot Air Expeditions has immediate openings for part time Chase Crew positions. Along with the Chase Crew position, additional positions/responsibilities are available, including: Kitchen staff, driving guests to/from their hotels, washing vehicles, and working in the FAA Certified Repair Station.
