Job Description

Overview:
The Pool Attendant / Server is a guest-focused hospitality professional responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment while providing food and beverage service to guests in pool and outdoor recreation areas. This dual-role position combines attentive customer service, pool area oversight, and food and beverage delivery to create an exceptional resort or hotel guest experience. The Pool Attendant / Server serves as a primary point of contact for guests using the pool facilities, assisting with seating, distributing towels, setting up lounge areas, and responding to guest requests. In addition, this position takes food and beverage orders, delivers meals and drinks to guests, processes payments when applicable, and ensures service standards are consistently met. This role requires continuous guest interaction, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced outdoor environment, and frequent movement throughout the pool deck, recreation areas, restaurant service areas, and other locations on the property. Successful candidates demonstrate excellent hospitality skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Welcome guests to the pool area and provide friendly, attentive service. Set up and maintain pool furniture, umbrellas, towels, and guest amenities. Monitor pool areas for cleanliness and report safety concerns or maintenance issues. Take food and beverage orders from guests in poolside areas. Deliver food, beverages, and amenities promptly and accurately. Ensure all orders meet quality and presentation standards. Assist guests with menu questions and provide recommendations when appropriate. Process guest checks and payment transactions according to hotel procedures. Clear tables, loungers, and service areas of used dishes, glassware, and trash. Restock service stations, condiments, utensils, towels, and other supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool decks, cabanas, and service areas. Communicate guest requests and concerns to appropriate departments and management. Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and hotel operating procedures. Provide exceptional service to enhance the overall guest experience
Qualifications:
Previous customer service/food & beverage experience. Ability to work in a fast pace team environment. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently.
