Responsibilities Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards Anticipate and address guests` service needs Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests Answer questions on menu selections to guests Able to work in tandem with Food Runner by anticipating all steps of service, guests' needs, and coordinating food and drink delivery and cleanup in unison Guide guests through dining experience through situational and suggestive selling Personalize and customize each guest experience Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages Meet and maintain check average goals set forth by Management Maintain cleanliness of work areas, server stations, etc throughout the day Complete closing duties, including restocking items, clearing pool area, etc. Maintain all restaurant assets in pristine condition and report any deficiencies to management Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals Own guest opportunities and resolve them through empowerment Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Thank guests with genuine appreciation Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors Adhere to departmental policies and procedures Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees Practice effective listening: (seek to understand) Always live by Terranea's vision, mission and values when interacting with internal and external guests Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy Be courteous to all guests and coworkers Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes at
Resort Pool Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Monitor all guest activity in assigned work area; be alert to any sign of trouble. Ensure safety of guests and enforcement of pool rules/ precautions according to department standards. Secure storage areas.
Maintain complete knowledge of:
Daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures. Scheduled group activities and locations within hotel. All hotel facilities and services. Hours of operation of each outlet. All safety and sanitation regulations for Pool facility. Qualifications Food & Beverage experience preferred CPR certification required Food Handler's and RBS Certification required
Compensation Base Pay Start Rate:
$18.92/Hr.
