Job Description
Job Summary The role of Activities Attendant is responsible for interacting amongst members and guest of the beach club while inciting a sense of community through club activities. The Activities Attendant is expected to oversee and execute daily events and activities that are inclusive of all ages throughout the property. Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions Plan, organize, and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation Implement actives that accommodate those with special needs Provide clear instructions and guidance to participants for all activities Observe participants during events, gauge their enjoyment, and gather feedback to improve future events Report medical concerns or observations as necessary Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures during activities Plan and execute special holiday or themed events Participate in cross-functional team activities to enhance and improve activity programs Monitor and manage activity program equipment, materials, and supplies Perform all other duties as assigned Education and Experience Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job related needs Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English Hands-on customer service experience preferred Previous experience in a related position preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Detail oriented and thorough Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly manner Ability to remain enthusiastic and engage with guests and members Creativity and ability to develop engaging activities Ability to provide clear and concise instructions for activities Basic knowledge of crafting and recreational activity operations Basic Knowledge of engaging activities suitable for various age groups and abilities Physical Demands Work in both indoor and outdoor Ability to lift 50lbs Prolonged periods of standing, physical activity, including but not limited to, bending, stooping, and kneeling Frequent precision work with hands Working Conditions Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and adaptability May involve interactions with children, adults, and participants with special needs The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not an exclusive list of all duties and responsibilities.
