Job Description
Pool Attendant- Nora Hotel, West Palm Beach Position Summary The Pool Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests utilizing the hotel's pool and recreational facilities. This role ensures the pool deck is clean, organized, and fully stocked while providing personalized assistance to create a welcoming and memorable guest experience. The Pool Attendant serves as an ambassador of The Nora Hotel brand by maintaining luxury service standards and anticipating guest needs throughout their visit. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Excellence Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor. Provide attentive, personalized service throughout the guest's pool experience. Assist guests with seating, towels, umbrellas, loungers, cabanas, and other pool amenities. Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance. Deliver towels, water, and amenities as appropriate. Maintain a visible presence throughout the pool deck to ensure guest satisfaction. Promptly communicate guest concerns or service recovery opportunities to the Pool Supervisor. Recognize VIP guests, returning guests, and special occasions whenever possible. Pool Operations Prepare the pool deck for daily operations, including setting up furniture, umbrellas, towels, and guest amenities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, lounge areas, cabanas, and surrounding recreational spaces. Continuously monitor towel stations and replenish supplies throughout the day. Collect used towels and transport them to designated collection areas. Ensure furniture is clean, properly arranged, and in excellent condition. Monitor guest amenities and restock as needed. Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, and cleanliness issues promptly. Assist with opening and closing procedures for the pool area. Teamwork & Communication Work collaboratively with the Pool Supervisor and fellow team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Communicate guest requests promptly and accurately. Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage to support the overall guest experience. Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions. Maintain a positive, professional attitude while supporting team goals. Safety & Compliance Follow all hotel safety policies, pool regulations, and emergency procedures. Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team members. Report accidents, unsafe conditions, or guest incidents immediately. Ensure walkways and guest areas remain free of hazards. Maintain confidentiality of guest information. Comply with all hotel policies and service standards. Qualifications Previous hospitality, customer service, or resort experience preferred. Luxury hotel or resort experience preferred. Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
