As a Recreation Team Member, you'll support guest activities, poolside experiences, wellness programming, and resort entertainment while creating a fun, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere for guests of all ages. What you'll be doing What you'll be doing Support daily recreation operations including guest activities, poolside events, wellness experiences, family programming, and resort entertainment. Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic, and professional manner while helping create fun and memorable experiences. Assist with setting up, organizing, and facilitating games, activities, fitness classes, events, and recreational programming. Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and presentation standards across pools, activity areas, fitness spaces, cabanas, and recreational facilities. Provide guests with information about resort activities, amenities, schedules, local attractions, and hotel services. Coordinate closely with Recreation leadership, Pool Attendants, Spa, Food & Beverage, Front Office, and hotel teams to support smooth operations. Monitor recreational areas for safety concerns, operational needs, and guest assistance opportunities throughout shifts. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, questions, and service recovery situations. Assist with opening duties, closing procedures, inventory organization, activity setup, and operational readiness as needed. Follow hotel operational procedures, sanitation standards, recreational safety guidelines, and hospitality service expectations at all times. Help foster a fun, welcoming, and guest-focused atmosphere aligned with Sonesta's People People philosophy. Any other duties as assigned. What great looks like Previous recreation, hospitality, resort, entertainment, guest activities, customer service, camp, or event experience preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills with an outgoing and energetic personality. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality or resort environment. Positive attitude with a team-oriented and service-focused mindset. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods as needed. Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, organization, and guest engagement. Knowledge of recreation programming, wellness activities, fitness, or hospitality guest service standards preferred. CPR, First Aid, lifeguard, or recreation-related certifications preferred where applicable. Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and resort operational support as needed. A passion for hospitality, teamwork, wellness, guest engagement, and creating memorable resort experiences Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information $24.18-$26.94 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
