Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet members in a warm, professional and courteous manner utilizing the Club's check-in system. Register member's guests providing information regarding club policies Ensure members and guests are following proper attire policies while entering and exiting the pool area Answer general questions regarding pool hours, programming, lessons, swim & dive team, events, and basic pool rules. Communicate member questions, concerns, or issues to Aquatics management staff when needed. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized check-in desk throughout the shift. Assist with towel organization, lost and found, signage, and other front desk needs. Support Aquatics staff with daily operations and member communication. Provide excellent service while maintaining a calm and professional presence during busy periods. Follow all Club policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills. Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor. Ability to remain organized and attentive in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts. Comfortable using basic computer systems or check-in software. Prior customer service, front desk, hospitality, or private club experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed during the pool season. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work outdoors or near an outdoor pool environment. Ability to occasionally lift or move light items such as towels, supplies, or signage. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming and organized experience for members and their guests as they are the first point of contact upon arrival at the pool. This role requires someone who is personable, attentive, well-spoken, and comfortable assisting members in a private club environment. Staff members are expected to greet members warmly, assist with check-in, answer general pool-related questions, help ensure members and guests are following Chevy Chase Club Pool policies when entering and exiting the pool area, and maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area. Expectations The ideal candidate understands the importance of professionalism, discretion, and member service in a private club setting. Aquatics Front Desk Attendants should take pride in representing The Chevy Chase Club and helping ensure that every member's visit to the pool begins with a positive experience.
