Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Guest Relations Supervisor, responsible for assisting guests to their seats and with any guests` special needs (handicap, hearing impairment).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist guests to their seats for all entertainment events. Maintain knowledge of seating arrangements for various events. Assist handicapped guests to their seats and with any additional needs. Verify tickets for proper events, dates, and location. Report any discrepancies to the proper management. Provide associate and guest safety by maintaining order within the crowd. Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority. Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times. Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:
Contact with guests when directing them or assisting them at events. Contact with department associates in order to communicate business operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to pass a background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications:
Customer Service and/or ushering experience.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of event seating setup. Knowledge of principles and practices of promotions and entertainment events in a customer service-oriented Skill in following diagrams for events. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner. Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment. Ability to work on an on-call basis. Ability to work safely.
Physical Demands:
Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with the ticket review. Use of arms and hands. Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time. Occasionally lift/push up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino, and constant machine and crowd noise. Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions including extreme hot/cold and to lift, carry, push, or pull a variety of tools, equipment, and materials.
