Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Golf Shop Attendant , where your friendly attitude, attention to detail, and customer service skills will help create a welcoming experience for members and guests. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the tee sheet, checking in golfers, answering phone calls, and processing transactions through the point-of-sale system. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, staying organized, and working in a golf environment. Some golf knowledge is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Greet members and guests warmly as they enter the golf shop Check golfers in for their scheduled tee times Manage the daily tee sheet, including booking, changing, and canceling tee times Answer incoming phone calls professionally Provide information about tee times, rates, course policies, and general facility details Operate the point-of-sale system Process green fees, cart fees, merchandise purchases, and other transactions Handle cash and credit card payments accurately Assist customers with golf shop merchandise and general questions Communicate course updates, policies, and important information to members and guests Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and golf shop environment Complete basic opening and closing duties depending on the assigned shift Based on demand you may be required to assist cart barn staff with opening/closing procedures Requirements Previous customer service, retail, receptionist, or point-of-sale experience is a plus, but not required Some knowledge of golf, golf terminology, and golf course etiquette is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to assist customers confidently and professionally Basic computer skills Ability to learn tee sheet and point-of-sale software Positive attitude and dependable work ethic Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working with people and wants to gain experience in the golf industry.
