Pool Attendant/Gate Guard (Seasonal) Dorchester Owners Association Philadelphia, PA Job Details Temporary | Part-time $15 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Conflict de-escalation Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pool Attendant/Gate Guard (non-lifeguard position) to join our team summer (now to the end of September). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a controlled and enjoyable environment for all members and guests in the pool area. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage various tasks efficiently while providing top-notch hospitality. This is not a lifeguard position. This is a temporary position, beginning now and ending at a date to be determined in September 2026 at the end of the pool season. Responsibilities Monitor pool activities to ensure adherence to building rules and regulations. Check in members daily and collect guest passes. Test pool water and report out-of-range results to building maintenance. Clean and help maintain the pool and pool deck. Provide exceptional guest services, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including but not limited to straightening chairs, skimming the pool, and reporting spills/messes to housekeeping. Manage conflicts effectively, ensuring a positive experience for all members. Requirements Previous experience in guest services or hospitality preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude. Excellent conflict management skills to resolve issues amicably. Responsible and dependable individuals with an attention to detail.
