Job Description

With professionalism, warmth, and a mindset rooted in service, the Starter / Marshal helps create memorable rounds, smooth operations, and a guest experience worthy of golf's biggest stage. As we prepare to host the 2027 PGA Championship, this position plays a critical role in delivering the championship-level service that defines the home of modern golf. Our Starter / Marshal is often the first and last point of contact on the golfcourse—setting the tone for each round and ensuring every guest feels the elevated standard expected at amajor-championship venue. The Golf Starter/Marshal is responsible for: Starting golfers from the first tee in an organized, welcoming, and professional manner Enforcing pace-of-play standards with consistency and understanding Enhancing the member and guest experience across all golf facilities Keeping golfers informed of course rules, regulations, and daily conditions This role requires both a service heart and service mind , along with an understanding of the operational discipline needed to run a world-class facility.
Responsibilities:
Participate in daily stand-up communication meetings Manage starting operations on both courses Maintain presentation standards in accordance with Omni Hotels expectations Communicate consistently with the Golf Shop regarding guest check-in and caddie coordination Ensure facilities are operationally maintained and properly stocked Provide exceptional on-course service through pace management, assistance, and thoughtful service touches
Qualifications:
Must have availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays Working knowledge of the game of golf required Demonstrates a service heart and service mind; welcoming demeanor, professionalism, and sound judgment Ability to lift up to 60 pounds (ice, sand, etc.) Ability to operate a golf cart, starter tablet, GPS, and hand radio Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (rain, wind, sun, extreme heat, and cold) Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
