GOLF CLUB STARTER/ MARSHAL GENERAL
Deer Run Golf Club, previously known as Tawakoni Golf Club, was founded in 1971. It is an 18-hole course, partially surrounded by the beautiful Lake Tawakoni. It is one of the most scenic golf courses in the DFW metro area. The new management has significantly improved the golf course and it is now one of the fastest growing golf courses.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a starter/marshal on weekend AM. You can work holidays as well if you are available. Starter/marshal is responsible for maintaining an acceptable pace of play and run the course efficiently. Starter/marshal uses his best judgements and experience to make it happen. v Must follow the tee sheet to see how many in a group, how many paid, whether 18 or 9 holes. Once tee'd off mark as such on the tee sheet. v Ascertains safe period of time between starting golfers. v Start everyone on tee box #1 unless there are other considerations. v Carts are shared in a group. No more than one single cart rider in a group. v Ensure that those that paid for 9 holes are not playing 18. v If you suspect someone is bringing alcoholic beverages, please check the coolers (if you are uncomfortable, notify the pro-shop). v Stop golfers from taking range balls to the Course. v Ensure that two golfers are not using the same set of clubs - not enforced unless very busy.
PAY AND BENEFITS
$10/hour payment. Additional $5/hour as golf credits.
