As one of the most visible representatives of the golf operation, this position is responsible for providing attentive, polished, and professional service while maintaining the appearance, organization, and efficiency of the club's outdoor facilities. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment consistent with the standards of a premier country club. Duties Greet and welcome members and guests with a courteous, professional, and service-oriented demeanor. Assist members and guests with golf bags, clubs, equipment, and other belongings upon arrival and departure. Maintain an organized and efficient bag storage and staging area. Prepare golf carts for daily play, ensuring they are clean, properly staged, fueled or charged, and equipped with necessary accessories. Deliver and retrieve golf carts promptly while adhering to club policies and safety standards. Assist members with loading and unloading golf equipment and provide personalized service throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the golf cart staging area, bag drop, practice facilities, and surrounding outdoor areas. Support the golf professional staff with daily operations, including tournaments, outings, member events, and special functions. Assist with the setup and breakdown of golf events, including signage, carts, scorecards, equipment, and other operational needs. Monitor the condition of golf carts and equipment and promptly communicate maintenance or service concerns to the appropriate department. Maintain an organized inventory of golf-related supplies and assist with restocking as needed. Provide knowledgeable and courteous assistance regarding club facilities, golf services, and general member inquiries. Maintain a visible presence around the golf operation and proactively anticipate member needs rather than waiting for requests. Uphold all club policies regarding safety, cart operation, member service, appearance, and conduct. Work closely with the golf shop, golf professionals, grounds staff, and other club departments to ensure a seamless member experience. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous experience in a country club, golf facility, hospitality, resort, or customer-service environment preferred. Knowledge of golf and familiarity with golf equipment, carts, and course operations preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong sense of hospitality with a natural ability to anticipate and respond to member needs. Dependable, punctual, and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision. Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for a private country club. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining an immaculate outdoor environment. Ability to remain composed and courteous in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and in varying weather conditions. Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and move golf bags, equipment, and supplies. Ability to safely operate golf carts and other club equipment as required. Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other varying weather conditions. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks while maintaining a high level of service and attention to detail.
