As the Recreation Manager , you will provide leadership and direction for the Recreation and Pool Attendants while overseeing the department's daily operations. You'll develop creative recreational activities, manage facilities and resources, and foster a positive work environment focused on exceptional service. Through proactive leadership and meaningful engagement with members and guests, you'll ensure every recreational experience is safe, enjoyable, and memorable.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Leadership:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Recreation department, ensuring activities, facilities, and services operate smoothly and meet established standards.Team Leadership & Development:
Hire, train, schedule, coach, and motivate Recreation and Pool Attendants while establishing clear performance expectations and supporting associate growth.Guest Engagement & Service:
Build positive relationships with members and guests, promote recreational offerings, encourage participation, and create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.Program & Event Development:
Create, coordinate, and execute unique recreational activities, seasonal programs, and special events that appeal to members and guests of all ages.Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety procedures throughout all recreational areas, including the pools and sports facilities, to provide a safe environment for members, guests, and associates.Pool & Facility Oversight:
Monitor the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of recreational facilities, including pool conditions and chemical levels, while coordinating maintenance as needed.Equipment & Inventory Management:
Maintain recreational equipment and supplies, oversee inventory levels, and ensure items are properly stocked and in safe working condition.Guest Feedback & Improvement:
Gather and review feedback, assess satisfaction levels, and implement improvements to enhance future recreational offerings and experiences.Problem Resolution:
Proactively identify and address operational or service-related concerns before they escalate, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.Administrative Management:
Oversee scheduling, payroll, departmental reports, supply ordering, inventory control, performance documentation, and associate records.Financial Management:
Monitor departmental budgets, operating statements, expenses, and payroll reports to achieve financial goals while maintaining service excellence.Cross-Department Collaboration:
Partner with other departments to coordinate activities and special events, support operational needs, and provide a seamless experience for members and guests.Perks & Benefits:
