The Fitness Manager is a leadership role focused on personal training excellence, team development, and driving measurable results on the fitness floor. You will lead and develop the training team, deliver exceptional coaching to members, and own key components of revenue performance and client success. This is not a front desk job. Key Responsibilities Training & Member Results Conduct fitness consultations, assessments, and goal-setting sessions Design individualized training programs aligned with client goals and lifestyle Deliver one-on-one and small group training sessions safely and effectively Provide consistent accountability, motivation, and progress tracking Offer foundational nutrition guidance to support fitness goals Teach proper exercise technique, spotting, and progression strategies Participate in social media and marketing initiatives Trainer Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop the personal training team Provide coaching, feedback, and performance accountability Support onboarding and continued development of trainers Run team meetings and skill-development sessions Ensure programming quality, safety standards, and consistent client experience Help trainers improve sales conversations, retention, and client results Foster a positive, high-performance, team-first culture Revenue & Sales Execution Conduct engaging fitness consultations and program recommendations Present training options clearly and confidently Execute KPIs including leads, appointments, show rates, closing percentage, and training attachment Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and existing members Manage pricing discussions and client commitments with professionalism Drive client retention through relationships and measurable progress Lead overall training revenue growth and team performance Operations & Leadership Support daily club operations alongside leadership team Deliver a high-level front desk and member experience Maintain cleanliness, organization, and facility standards Utilize CRM and fitness software to track metrics and activity Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall member experience Assist with community outreach and partnerships Model professionalism, accountability, and leadership standards What We're Looking For Passion for helping people improve their lives Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to lead and influence others Confidence paired with integrity Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable Team-oriented mindset with leadership presence Self-motivated with a growth mentality Reliable and punctual What We're Not Looking For Individuals seeking a "clock-in, clock-out" role Poor follow-up or inconsistent execution Avoidance of performance or pricing conversations Chronic lateness Ego-driven behavior Average effort
Qualifications:
Personal Training Certification (REQUIRED) CPR/AED Certification First Aid Certification Group Fitness Certification (preferred) Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology Or Business 2-4 years of relevant experience (fitness, sales, leadership) OR Equivalent combination of education and experience Prior experience leading or mentoring trainers strongly preferred Technical Skills Google Workspace Microsoft Office CRM or fitness management software Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs Comfortable standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and spotting clients Work Environment On-site position (not remote) Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends Full-time and part-time opportunities available Benefits (Full-Time Eligible) Hourly + Commission 401(k) with company match Paid time off Employee membership and product discounts Performance-based Bonus earning potential
