This position will develop and execute innovative wellness experiences that drive member satisfaction, retention, participation, and revenue while ensuring a high level of service and operational excellence. The Wellness Director will oversee wellness-focused initiatives across fitness, spa, recreation, programming, events, and member experiences. This leader will identify opportunities to expand offerings, develop creative programming, build strategic partnerships, and create experiences that position the Club & Spa as a premier wellness destination. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, creative, and relationship-driven wellness professional with a strong background in hospitality, fitness, spa, club, or lifestyle programming. They are passionate about wellness, understand what drives member engagement, and have the ability to turn innovative ideas into successful programs and revenue opportunities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive wellness strategy that supports member engagement, satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. Identify emerging wellness trends and develop new concepts that enhance the Club & Spa's overall wellness offering. Develop experiences that appeal to a diverse range of members and guests, including fitness, recovery, relaxation, mindfulness, movement, and holistic wellness. Build strong relationships with members and guests and create a welcoming, personalized, and elevated experience. Monitor member feedback, participation, satisfaction, and engagement to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Develop strategies to increase participation in wellness programming, fitness offerings, spa services, special events, and membership benefits. Create a strong sense of community and connection among members through engaging programming, events, and wellness experiences. Develop creative strategies to increase membership engagement, spa bookings, fitness participation, wellness programming, retail sales, and overall revenue. Create and implement seasonal wellness packages, promotions, events, and experiences designed to attract new members and guests and encourage repeat business. Identify opportunities to increase revenue through wellness services, programming, memberships, retail, events, partnerships, and other ancillary offerings. Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop campaigns and promotional strategies that increase awareness, participation, membership growth, and revenue. Develop relationships with wellness professionals, instructors, practitioners, brands, and community partners to expand programming and create new opportunities. Evaluate the success of programs and initiatives using participation, engagement, member feedback, and revenue results, making adjustments as needed. Provide leadership and direction for wellness-related operations, programs, staff, instructors, providers, and partners. Partner closely with Spa, Fitness, Membership, Recreation, and Hotel Operations teams to ensure a seamless and consistent member and guest experience. Oversee day-to-day wellness programming and operations to ensure services are delivered efficiently and consistently. Establish clear service expectations and ensure team members consistently deliver an elevated level of hospitality. Coach, develop, and motivate team members to create a culture of wellness, service excellence, accountability, and engagement. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of wellness team members as needed. Ensure teams are aligned with current programming, promotions, member expectations, and overall wellness objectives. Respond to member and guest concerns and partner with appropriate leaders to resolve issues and create positive service recovery experiences. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify operational improvements that enhance the member experience and support business objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations within areas of responsibility. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Wellness Management, Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Business Administration, Exercise Science, Health & Wellness, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in wellness, fitness, spa, hospitality, recreation, club, resort, or a related environment. Proven experience developing and implementing wellness, fitness, lifestyle, or member-focused programming. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple programs, initiatives, and priorities simultaneously. Strong understanding of member engagement, retention, customer experience, and relationship management. Experience developing revenue-generating programs, promotions, events, partnerships, or services. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Highly organized with strong project management and time-management abilities. Creative and innovative approach to wellness programming and experience development. Strong knowledge of current wellness, fitness, lifestyle, and hospitality trends. Experience with membership management systems, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
