12394 OVERVIEW Barton Malow Builders is helping deliver one of Jacksonville's most exciting new sports and entertainment destinations, and we're seeking a Low Voltage Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of critical technology and special systems infrastructure across the project. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the implementation of complex low-voltage systems that enable modern fan experiences, venue security, operational technology, and building connectivity. The ideal candidate brings expertise in large-scale commercial construction environments and has successfully managed the installation and integration of systems such as structured cabling, DAS, Wi-Fi, security, access control, CCTV, audiovisual, and building technology platforms. This is a unique opportunity to help deliver a landmark venue that will serve athletes, fans, and the Jacksonville community for generations.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Leadership & Delivery Lead all phases of low-voltage and special systems project execution from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover. Serve as the primary project management point of contact for low-voltage subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and owner representatives. Coordinate design development, procurement, installation, testing, and startup activities. Track project milestones, schedules, budgets, and forecasts to ensure successful delivery of assigned scopes. Proactively identify risks, conflicts, and opportunities impacting project performance. Systems Coordination Manage and coordinate installation of: Structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure Wireless networking and Wi-Fi systems Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) Access control systems CCTV and video surveillance systems Intrusion detection and security technologies Public Address and Mass Notification Systems Audio Visual (AV) systems IPTV and digital signage platforms Building automation and integrated technology systems Trade Partner Management Lead low-voltage subcontractor coordination meetings. Review contracts, scopes of work, shop drawings, and submittals. Support bid package development and procurement activities. Monitor subcontractor performance and adherence to project schedules. Resolve field installation issues and facilitate coordination with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams. Financial Management Maintain budget accountability for assigned scopes. Review change orders, pay applications, and cost forecasts. Track procurement status and long-lead technology equipment. Monitor project financial performance and report key metrics to leadership. Quality & Commissioning Ensure systems are installed in accordance with design requirements and manufacturer standards. Support integration testing, commissioning, and turnover activities. Coordinate owner training and closeout documentation. Verify all systems meet operational and performance expectations before project completion.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Technology Systems, or related field, or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of project management experience supporting low-voltage, electrical, technology, or special systems construction. Experience managing subcontractors and technology vendors on complex commercial projects. Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, procurement, and project controls. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Preferred Stadium, arena, sports, entertainment, airport, healthcare, hospitality, mission critical, or large commercial project experience.
Experience with:
Structured Cabling Fiber Optics Security Systems AV Systems DAS Wi-Fi Infrastructure Building Technology Integration Knowledge of commissioning and systems integration processes.
