3 weeks Benefits Coverage by Employer at 65% to 80% depending on selections Job Summary Under the direction of the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for the oversight of gym operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience, as well as a financially successful club. The GM position is a key member of our team and is responsible for daily club operations, ensuring "Raving Fans" service! Full Time Monday To Friday - 9:00am to 5:00pm (Weekends as needed) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high performing staff, consisting of Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, and Trainers. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines. Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships. Scheduling and supervising staff. Timely and accurate payroll records and submitting of payroll to HR. Member Service and Trainer oversight - Ensuring staff is always providing a superior customer experience, including resolving member situations. Involved in all front desk related activities including: Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions. Check members into the system. New member sign-up. Take prospective members on tours. Facilitate all member requests, issues and questions. Document and report all accidents and incidents. Aids patrons in daily operation of equipment and answers questions concerning operation of equipment. Ensures center rules, safety standards and sanitation requirements are followed. Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility. Timely and accurate inventory and managing of supplies, staying within specific budget based on club requirements. Track statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually). Backup support for any employee who is absent. Other responsibilities as asked by management. Qualifications Must have Assistant General Manager experience in the health fitness industry. A passion for fitness and health! Upbeat and positive attitude. Demonstrated relationship management and team oriented. Detail-oriented and high analytical thinking with proven ability to problem-solve. Punctuality and reliability are a must. Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co- workers, exceeding the member's expectations. Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve. Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language. Strong business acumen. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn company specific programs. High School diploma/GED equivalent required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Satisfactory background check. Preferred Qualifications Experience with HRIS systems is a plus. Customer service background preferred. E-Verify
