Activities Manager Location:
Mulvane, KS, 67110 Full Time 08:00am-4:30pm with
Alternating Saturdays Required Job Summary Role:
Department head leading the life enrichment and activity team.
Goal:
Direct a therapeutic program that promotes resident independence and community.
Setting:
Skilled nursing facilities
Key Responsibilities Program Design:
Create monthly calendars featuring diverse social, creative, spiritual, and physical events.
Department Management:
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise activities assistants and volunteers.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain accurate records, assessments, and care plans matching state and federal mandates.
Budget Oversight:
Manage the department budget and order all entertainment, decorations, and supplies.
Community Relations:
Coordinate family council meetings, volunteer recruitment, and local community partnerships.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, activities, or a related human services field preferred
Certification:
Certified Activity Director (ADC) credential via NCCAP is highly preferred or required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of managing programs in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
Expertise:
Deep knowledge of state health department regulations and MDS assessment processes.
