Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support to the Activity Center Manager. The Assistant Manager is expected to be actively involved in MACC and Moberly area communities and to work alongside of the Activity Center Manager on the general operations of the MACC Activity Center. A required minimum of 40 hours per week with a flexible working schedule, which would include some evening and weekend hours. Most evening hours will happen during basketball season which is October through March. This is a full-time, 12-month, position with flexible hours and is covered by the Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri (PEERS). This position requires attention to detail, good organization skills, the ability to easily adapt to changes, in-depth knowledge of computer essentials including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn various College-related software programs. Proper written and verbal communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's licenses is also required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

The Assistant Manager shall: Be familiar with MACC policies and procedures as well as applicable federal and state requirements to maintain compliance; Work with Activity Center Manager, Athletic Director, and other MACC personnel in scheduling events and activities; Maintain good financial practices within budgeted guidelines and assist with bank deposits; Work with Activity Center Manager to develop and implement programs for the college and community; Assist in the promotion and collection of sponsor fees; Assist with overseeing the concession stand and use of the Point -of-Sale system. Attend and assist in Greyhound basketball games and functions as requested by the Activity Center Manager; Prepare and maintain records including invoices, statements, receipts, requisitions and letters; Answer the phones and take messages; Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Center Manager or Director of Plant Operations.
