Doggy Daycare & Resort Manager (Luxury Suites Focus)
Location:
Charlotte, NC Position Type:
Full-time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, high-energy Resort Manager to launch and lead our brand-new, luxury doggy daycare and suite boarding facility in Charlotte. You will oversee daily operations, manage a team of pet care professionals, and ensure a five-star experience for both our canine guests and their owners. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of canine behavior, and experience managing high-end hospitality or pet care environments. Key Responsibilities 1. Luxury Operations & Client Experience Deliver a premium, concierge-level customer service experience for all pet parents. Manage high-end facility amenities (e.g., luxury boarding suites, webcam access, specialized activities). Oversee strict sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a spotless, odor-free resort environment. Onboard new clients, conduct facility tours, and address customer feedback with professionalism. 2. Staff Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, and schedule playgroup monitors, suite attendants, and front desk staff. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on exceptional animal care and safety. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching on canine body language and handling. 3. Canine Care & Safety Management Lead temperament evaluations to safely place dogs in appropriate playgroups. Monitor group dynamics to proactively prevent stress, anxiety, or aggression. Oversee specialized care routines, including medication administration and premium feeding requests. Respond swiftly and calmly to any medical emergencies or pet health concerns. 4. Administration & Technology Utilize industry software (e.g., Gingr, Time To Pet) to manage bookings, capacity, and billing. Monitor facility inventory, order supplies, and manage labor budgets to hit financial targets. Ensure compliance with all North Carolina local and state animal care regulations.
Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a pet boarding, veterinary, or luxury hospitality environment.
Canine Knowledge:
Deep understanding of dog pack dynamics, body language, and positive reinforcement techniques.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with pet facility management software and basic point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Availability:
Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak travel seasons.
Certifications:
Pet CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
