Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Fitness Director to lead our fitness team and elevate the health and wellness experience for our members. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the development and implementation of innovative fitness programs, foster a motivating environment, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your expertise in biomechanics, physiology, and coaching will inspire members to achieve their personal health goals while maintaining a safe and engaging facility. Responsibilities Develop, organize, and oversee comprehensive fitness programs tailored to diverse member needs, including group fitness classes and personal training sessions Lead, mentor, and motivate the fitness team to deliver exceptional coaching and customer service, fostering a positive environment that encourages member engagement Create personalized workout plans based on individual assessments, biomechanics, anatomy knowledge, and physiology principles Ensure all fitness activities comply with safety standards by implementing proper manual handling techniques, heavy lifting protocols, first aid procedures, CPR/AED operation, and liability insurance requirements Promote fitness sales by engaging with members proactively, offering tailored solutions that meet their health objectives while driving revenue growth Maintain detailed records of program participation, member progress, safety incidents, and staff performance to ensure continuous improvement Stay current with industry trends by participating in ongoing education related to sports coaching experience, nutrition guidance, program design, and fitness industry best practices Qualifications Proven experience in sports coaching, personal training, or group fitness instruction with a strong background in biomechanics and anatomy Knowledge of physiology principles relevant to exercise programming and body mechanics Certification in CPR/AED First Aid is required; additional certifications such as manual handling or heavy lifting are highly desirable Demonstrated success in fitness sales and client rapport building with excellent communication skills Experience teaching physical education or leading group fitness classes is preferred Strong understanding of health club operations, gym management practices, and customer service excellence Ability to motivate clients through coaching techniques that inspire confidence and sustained effort Prior experience in the fitness industry or health club environment is advantageous Join us to make a meaningful impact on our members' lives by fostering a vibrant fitness community rooted in expertise, motivation, and safety.
