Job Description
General Manager - Health Club Job Summary We are looking for an energetic, results-driven General Manager to lead the daily operations of our health club. This leadership role is responsible for driving membership sales, delivering exceptional customer service, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring smooth club operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, excels at leading people, and has a proven track record in sales and operational management. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate the Member Services and Sales team to achieve membership and revenue goals. Oversee all daily club operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management. Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop team members while fostering a positive workplace culture. Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain accurate stock levels. Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to increase membership growth and community engagement. Manage budgets, payroll, sales reporting, and other financial responsibilities. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Resolve member concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming club environment. Qualifications Previous management experience in a fitness center, health club, or membership-based business preferred. Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. Proven success in membership sales and customer service. Experience with recruiting, training, and employee development. Knowledge of budgeting, payroll, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and cash handling. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Basic math and computer skills required.
