A Laundry Worker washes, dries, and folds clothes for customers at a laundromat. Works in a commercial laundry or for a company that provides laundry services for businesses, including hospitals, hotels and other businesses that use large quantities of linens.

Job Description
- Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform the job.
- Must be able to cooperate with other employees and follow directions.
- Must be patient and kind to residents.
- Must have experience or must be trainable.
- Must have a good attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up dirty clothes and linens in barrels.
- Check all hall closets when putting out clean linens to make sure they are organized.
- Attend in-service sessions when held
- Clean laundry room and other equipment daily or as needed.
- Clean dryer filters regularly, and frequently.
- Check chemical storage containers frequently to be sure there is an adequate amount.
- Check water frequently for proper temperature.
- Place patients' clothes in appropriate areas in patients' rooms.
- Straighten patients' clothes in drawers and closets at least twice weekly.
- Sweep outside area of laundry when needed and keep area neat and orderly.
- Perform any other task assigned relating to laundry and housekeeping.
- Ensure that labels on clothes are properly maintained, visible and attached.

- Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families, and visitors.
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel.
- Promote Coastal Pointe in a positive way.
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents
