Join our dynamic team as a Front Desk & Group Class Leader, where you will be the welcoming face of our fitness facility and a key driver of engaging group exercise experiences. This energetic role combines exceptional customer service with the passion for leading diverse fitness classes, fostering a motivating environment for clients of all levels. You'll be instrumental in creating a vibrant community, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, and delivering inspiring group sessions that promote health, wellness, and personal achievement. Responsibilities Greet members and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries about memberships, classes, and facility amenities Manage front desk operations efficiently, including check-ins, membership sign-ups, and payment processing Lead or assist in delivering high-energy group fitness classes Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure participants practice safe biomechanics and body mechanics during classes Support program design by creating engaging routines that cater to various skill levels and fitness goals Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workout areas and equipment, ensuring safety standards are met through manual handling and heavy lifting when necessary Promote upcoming classes and fitness programs to enhance member engagement and retention Administer basic first aid or CPR/AED in case of emergencies, following health club protocols Qualifications Proven experience in the fitness industry with a background in group fitness instruction or personal training Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and health club safety procedures Certifications in CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation required; additional certifications such as Group fitness instruction, Personal training, or Sports coaching are highly desirable Demonstrated ability to motivate clients through coaching techniques that emphasize body mechanics and functional movement patterns Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude to foster client relationships and teamwork Physical fitness training experience including heavy lifting, manual handling, and demonstrating exercise routines effectively Ability to teach multiple disciplines such as Body Mechanics, Physiology Knowledge, Group Fitness Classes, Dancing or Sports Coaching preferred Prior experience working in health clubs or gym environments is advantageous
